Massa garners USILA All-America honorable mention

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bryant University men's lacrosse graduate student Kenny Massa (Huntington, N.Y.) has been named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America honorable mention selection for the 2018 season, as announced Thursday by the USILA.

Massa posted a stellar final season in Black and Gold in 2018, as the Long Island native ranked second nationally in ground balls per game (11.33) and fourth in face-off percentage (.686). Massa was better than 50 percent at the face-off X in 13 of 15 games and over 41 percent in all 15 contests.

A first-team all-NEC selection, Massa earned NEC Player of the Week honors twice and was twice named to the USILA Team of the Week. Massa was drafted by the Ohio Machine in the fourth round of April's MLL Draft and made his MLL debut May 12.

Bryant has collected at least one USILA All-America honor in each of the last 18 seasons, dating back to the Bulldogs' second season as a program in 2001.
