Caracciolo tabbed as NEC Defensive Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University men's lacrosse freshman Luke Caracciolo (Centreville, Va.) has been selected as Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 17, as announced Monday by the NEC office.

Caracciolo continued an outstanding start to his freshman campaign with a 15-save effort in an 11-8 win over Providence. The freshman goalie held the Friars to three goals in the second half as the Bulldogs won their home opener at Beirne Stadium.

Caracciolo has recorded an 8.50 goals against average, .646 save percentage and 31 saves in his first two contests in Black & Gold. The Virginia native was named NEC Co-Rookie of the Week last Monday.

Bryant returns to action Saturday when the Bulldogs host Dartmouth. Tickets for the 11 a.m. start at Beirne Stadium can be purchased by clicking HERE. The game will be available on NEC Front Row.
