SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth opened the season last Saturday with a 15-8 loss at Boston University. Ben Martin recorded two goals and four assists to lead the Big Green offense.

Dartmouth was selected to finish seventh in the Ivy League preseason poll after a 2-11 record in 2018. The Big Green returns its top two players in points from a year ago in George Prince and Martin.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Dartmouth meet for the third time Saturday but first since 2010, when six different Bulldogs scored in a 7-5 victory in Smithfield.

Bryant went 1-1 against the Ivy League last year with a 17-9 win at Brown and 11-8 home loss to eventual national champion Yale.

LAST TIME OUT: BRYANT 11, PROVIDENCE 8
Junior Trevor Weingarten (Allendale, N.J.) and sophomore Marc O'Rourke (Hingham, Mass.) scored three goals each to lead the Bryant attack in an in-state win over Providence Saturday at Beirne Stadium. The Bulldogs held the Friars scoreless in the third quarter to turn a 6-5 halftime lead into a 9-5 advantage.

LUKE, NOT LUCK
Freshman goalie Luke Caracciolo (Centreville, Va.) has put together back-to-back standout performances to begin his collegiate career. Caracciolo turned aside 16 Bucknell shots in the season opener before stopping 15 Providence attempts in Saturday's win.

Caracciolo was named NEC Co-Rookie of the Week for the Bucknell game and earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his effort against Providence. The freshman from Virginia has recorded a .646 save percentage and 8.50 goals against average through his first two games in Black & Gold.

MAKING HIS MARC
Sophomore Marc O'Rourke has scored three goals in each of his first two contests of 2019, giving him eight of three or more goals in his first 17 collegiate games.

SAVE THAT BALL
Sophomore Pat Brosnan (South San Francisco, Calif.) and freshman Logan McGovern (Darien, Conn.) both scored their first collegiate goals in Saturday's win over Providence. McGovern scored twice, including one on acrobatic dive shot in the third quarter.

Freshman Mason Balch (Westfield, Mass.) scored twice in the season opener at Bucknell.

NEXT MAN-UP
Freshman Mason Balch's first career tally at Bucknell was of the man-up variety, making Balch the third Bryant freshman in the last five years to score a goal on the man-up in the season opener in the last five seasons. Marc O'Rourke tallied a man-up goal in his debut in 2018, while Cam Ziegler achieved the feat in 2015.

BULLDOGS AMONG NEW ENGLAND'S BEST
Bryant has won 106 games since joining Division I in 2009 - the second-highest total of the 15 Division I lacrosse programs in the six New England states behind Yale's 108. The Bulldogs' .602 winning percentage over those 11 seasons ranks third in New England after Yale (.692) and Brown (.606).

NEXT UP: BOSTON UNIVERSITY
Bryant will play the first of three midweek games in 2019 when the Bulldogs travel up to Boston for a Tuesday night game at Boston University. The 7 p.m. start can be seen on Patriot League Network.
