SCOUTING THE JASPERS
Manhattan is 2-2 on the year after a 15-12 victory over St. Bonaventure in last weekend's MAAC opener. The Jaspers defeated Wagner in their first game of 2019 before a one-goal loss to VMI and midweek defeat to Lafayette.

Luke Hanson leads Manhattan with 14 points on the year, while Parker Giarratana and Sean MacKinney have each recorded a team-high seven goals. Brendan Krebs has played all 240 minutes in goal, recording a .516 save percentage.

THE SERIES
The teams meet for the fourth-straight season Saturday after squaring off in the season opener in each of the last three. Bryant has won the previous three matchups by an average of 8.7 goals per game.

Bryant jumped out to a 7-1 lead in last season's opener and cruised to a 15-7 victory over Manhattan at the Bryant Track & Turf Complex. The Bulldogs had five multi-goal scorers in the contest, including three from Marc O'Rourke (Hingham, Mass.) and two from Austin Kent (Franklin, Mass.) in their collegiate debuts.

LAST TIME OUT: BOSTON UNIVERSITY 14, BRYANT 9
Bryant jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Boston University responded with the next six to build an advantage it would hold the rest of the way Tuesday in Boston.

MASS SCORING
Sophomores Austin Kent and Marc O'Rourke and freshman Mason Balch (Westfield, Mass.) scored two goals each Tuesday in their first collegiate game in their home state.

LUKE, NOT LUCK
Freshman goalie Luke Caracciolo (Centreville, Va.) put together back-to-back standout performances to begin his collegiate career. Caracciolo turned aside 16 Bucknell shots in the season opener before stopping 15 Providence attempts in Saturday's win.

Caracciolo was named NEC Co-Rookie of the Week for the Bucknell game and earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his effort against Providence.

BULLDOGS AMONG NEW ENGLAND'S BEST
Bryant has won 107 games since joining Division I in 2009 - the second-highest total of the 15 Division I lacrosse programs in the six New England states behind Yale's 109. The Bulldogs' .601 winning percentage over those 11 seasons ranks third in New England after Yale (.692) and Brown (.603).

361 AND COUNTING
Head coach Mike Pressler ranks sixth among active NCAA coaches in all divisions with 361 career victories. Of those 361, 132 have come while leading the Bulldogs since 2007. Among active Division I coaches, only John Danowski and Bill Tierney have more career victories.

NEXT UP: STONY BROOK
Bryant opens spring break with a Saturday trip to the North Shore of Long Island for a showdown with Stony Brook. The noon start can be seen on AmericaEast.tv.
