Bryant hosts Vermont on Saturday afternoon

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team welcomes the University of Vermont to Beirne Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m. 

Saturday's game will be streamed free-of-charge on NECFrontRow.com.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Vermont have split four all-time meetings. Each team is undefeated on its home turf. The teams last met in 2013, a 6-5 overtime victory for the Catamounts.  

SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
Vermont is under the direction of fifth-year head coach Chris Fiefs. The Catamounts were off to a 3-1 start in 2020 before the season came to a halt. Vermont has posted a winning season in each of the last three seasons, including a 12-4 mark in 2018. 

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs enter the weekend at 1-1 after a 14-8 loss to No. 20 Stony Brook last Saturday on Long Island. 
  • Logan McGovern and Nathan Laliberte picked up Northeast Conference weekly honors this week. McGovern was named the NEC Player of the Week and Laliberte was recognized as the NEC Rookie of the Week.
  • McGovern leads the Bulldogs with seven points (3g, 4a) through two games. 
  • Laliberte won 18-of-26 faceoffs against the Seawolves and is 30-of-43 on the year. 
  • Trevor Weingarten has recorded multiple assists in each of the first two games. 
  • Bennett Abladian recorded his first-career multi-goal game last Saturday at Stony Brook.
