Bryant ranked No. 20 in Inside Lacrosse Media Poll

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University men's lacrosse team is ranked No. 20 in the preseason Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.

It marks the second preseason honor for the Black and Gold who were also ranked 20th in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine preseason poll.

Bryant is coming off a championship campaign in 2021. The Bulldogs went 9-4 and captured their sixth Northeast Conference championship. Bryant then went toe-to-toe eventual National Champion and 2022 preseason favorite Virginia in the NCAA Tournament.

The Black and Gold return their starting goalie and each of their top five scorers. Luke Caracciolo made 12.3 saves per game and was named the NEC Tournament MVP a season ago. On the attack, Bryant welcomes back 81 percent of its scoring output from a season ago. Bennett Abladian scored a team-high 29 goals, while Logan McGovern led the way with 46 points off of 20 goals and 26 assists. Marc O'Rourke also is back after averaging 5.00 points per game after returning to the lineup in late April.

Bryant opens the 2022 season on Saturday, Feb. 12 at in-state rival Providence College.
