Caracciolo, Lucas take home NEC weekly honors

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Bryant University men's lacrosse junior Luke Caracciolo and freshman Drew Lucas were named the Northeast Conference Defensive and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Monday. 

Caracciolo tied the Bryant program record with 20 saves in an 8-4 win over LIU. The 20 saves are tied for 19th on the NCAA single-game list this season and the four goals allowed by Bryant mark the second time the Bulldogs have surrendered four or less goals in a game.

Lucas was also a huge part of Bryant's shutdown defensive performance. He posted seven ground balls and caused four turnovers in Bryant's 8-4 win over LIU.

In addition, Logan McGovern was named an #NECPrimePerformer. McGovern recorded five points (2g, 3a) in Saturday's victory.
