Lonsinger named America East Rookie of the Week

BOSTON -- Bryant University men's lacrosse redshirt freshman Jack Lonsinger was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Lonsinger recorded a Bryant freshman record seven goals in a 16-15 overtime loss to Boston University. The seven goals are tied for the second-most in a game in program history.

After recording a hat trick in his collegiate debut, Lonsinger exploded against the Terriers. His seventh goal of the game tied the score at 15-15 with just over five minutes remaining in the game. Lonsinger joins Marc O'Rourke as the only players in DI program history to score as many as seven goals in a single game. 

Bryant returns to the field this weekend when it travels to Quinnipiac on Saturday. Faceoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
