SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team continues America East play on Saturday night when it visits UMass Lowell. Faceoff is set for 6:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and UMass Lowell are meeting for the first time in program history on Saturday.

SCOUTING UML
UMass Lowell is 0-6 on the season and will be playing its conference opener. The River Hawks are led by Nick Harvath who has seven goals and six assists for 13 points. Riley Lawhorn and Sean Parker each have eight goals on the year. 

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs are 5-2 on the year following a 17-13 victory over UMBC last Saturday. The win improved the Bulldogs to 1-0 in the America East.
  • Bryant is 5-2 for the first time since 2021. It matches the 2021 team for the best seven-game start in DI program history. 
  • Bryant ranks 10th nationally with 14.43 goals per game. 
  • Johnny Hackett was named the America East Rookie of the Week for the fourth time on Monday. He scored seven goals and finished with eight points.
  • Jack Lonsinger added a hat trick last week and has a team-leading 22 goals.
  • Lonsinger and Hackett are currently ranked 1-2 in the country for freshman scoring. Lonsinger is averaging 3.14 goals per game and Hackett is at 3.00. 
  • Drew Lucas (27) and Tanner Alexander (20) have led the defense. They have also combined for eight points.
