Lonsinger named America East Rookie of the Week

BOSTON -- Bryant University men's lacrosse freshman Jack Lonsinger was named the America East Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Lonsinger potted five goals to help Bryant defeat NJIT, 16-8, on Saturday. The Bulldogs improved to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the America East with the win.

Playing in his home state, the Verona, New Jersey, native notched his sixth hat trick of the year. He now has four games with 4+ goals and currently leads the team with 29. Lonsinger is the highest scoring freshman in the country.

Bryant returns home this Saturday when it welcomes UAlbany to Beirne Stadium. Faceoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
