Bryant hosts Binghamton on Senior Day

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team welcomes Binghamton to Beirne Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Faceoff is set for 1:02 p.m.

Bryant will honor its 17-member senior class prior to the game.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Binghamton will be meeting for the first time in program history. 

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
Binghamton enters with an identical 8-3 overall and 4-1 league record as Bryant. The Bearcats are second in the league in scoring to the Bulldogs. Binghamton also leads the league in save percentage. Matthew Keegan leads the league with 40 goals (3.64 per game) and 50 points (4.55 per game). Freshman Connor Winters has posted a .562 save percentage.

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs are 8-3 following a 13-12 loss at league-leading Vermont last week. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs qualified for the 2023 America East Championships.
  • Bryant ranks fifth nationally in scoring offense with 15.36 goals per game.
  • The Bulldogs have five players with 30+ points, the first time that's happened since 2013-14 (Coach Ross' last season as an assistant). 
  • Kevin Groeninger paces the group with 49 points, while Johnny Hackett (30-9-39), Aidan Goltz (26-12-38), Jack Lonsinger (33-2-35) and Timmy Hackett (16-19-35) all have 30+.
  • Groeninger scored five goals two weeks ago vs UAlbany and matched his career high with seven points (4g, 3a) last week at Vermont.  
  • Lonsinger and Johnny Hackett continue to be two of the top scoring freshmen in all of college lacrosse.
  • Nathan Laliberte ranks sixth nationally in faceoff winning percentage at .632.
