Groeninger named USILA Scholar All-American

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University men's lacrosse senior Kevin Groeninger was named a USILA Scholar All-American on Wednesday, the association announced. 

Groeninger becomes the fifth player in DI program history to earn the honor and the first since 2019. He was one of five America East student-athletes recognized.

The San Juan Capistrano, Calif., native had an incredible offensive season for the Black and Gold, registering 68 points on 38 goals and 30 assists. Groeninger's point total is tied for the second-most in a single season in DI program history and he became the first player to have 30+ goals and 30+ assists in the same season. He was named to the America East First Team and earned America East Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors after scoring five times in the title game. 

Groeninger also excels in the classroom, finishing his undergraduate classwork with a 3.74 GPA. A Finance major, Groeninger is returning for his fifth season in Smithfield and will be obtaining an MBA.
