Men's Soccer Remains Unbeaten; Beats Bentley 3-0

Smithfield, R.I.. - The Bryant Men's Soccer team continued its fast start, defeating Northeast-10 rival Bentley 3-0 under the lights at the Bryant Turf Field.

Manny Rodriguez (North Branford, Conn.) scored in the 19th minute, scoring after Bryan Gravel (Londonderry, N.H.) was stopped on a penalty kick by Falcon goalkeeper Derek Debois. Rodriguez now leads the Bulldogs in goals with three.

Wheeler Smith (Franklin, Mass.) and Mike Gargiulo (North Branford, Conn.) scored 1:46 apart in the second half to break the game open. Smith also assisted on Gargiulo's tally.

Bryant outshot the Falcons 9-2, as Tom Madden (Saco, ME) stopped two shots to earn his second shutout of the season.

The Bulldogs (3-0-1, 2-0-1 NE-10) will visit Southern New Hampshire Saturday at 7 p.m.
