Gravel and Rodriguez Score Twice; Men's Soccer Wins 5-4

Albany, N.Y. - Bryan Gravel (Londonderry, N.H.) and Manny Rodriguez (North Branford, Conn.) both scored twice as the Bryant Men's Soccer team improved to 4-1-2 (3-1-2 NE-10) with a high-scoring 5-4 win over St. Rose Saturday in Albany, N.Y.

Gravel scored just two-minutes in, heading in a long throw-in from Nick Balistierri (Glastonbury, Conn.).

With the score tied at one, freshman Ryan Aspinall (Clinton, Conn.) netted his first collegiate goal. Aspinall's goal came just 30 seconds after St. Rose had tied the game.

Trailing 3-2, the Bulldogs caught fire, scoring three unassisted goal. Rodriguez scored his two goals 20 minutes apart, with Wheeler Smith (Franklin, Mass.) assisting on his second tally. Gravel scored his second of the game and fourth of the season, when he finished off an Aspinall crossing attempt in the 73rd minute to give Bryant the two goal lead.

Thomas Madden (Saco, ME) stopped three shots while remaining undefeated on the season. He is now 4-0-2.

Bryant visits Dominican Thursday (3:30 p.m.)
