Men's Soccer Falls to #3 Franklin Pierce 2-1

Rindge, N.H. - Despite scoring first, the Bryant Men's Soccer team lost to third-ranked Franklin Pierce 2-1 Saturday night in Rindge, N.H.

Sam Grande (Herkimer, N.Y.) scored his first goal of the season in the 35^th minute taking a free kick from captain Patrick Doherty (Easton, Mass.) and heading it past goaltender James Thorpe.

The Bulldogs outshot Franklin Pierce 11-9, but surrendered two goals in nine minutes, costing them the lead.

Thomas Madden (Saco, ME) lost his first game of the season. He made one gave in the loss.

Bryant (5-2-2, 3-2-2 NE-10) will visit St. Anselm Wednesday (3:30 p.m.).
