Men's Soccer Falls to Saint Anselm 3-2

Manchester, N.H. - The Bryant Men's Soccer team dropped a tough match to Saint Anselm Wednesday afternoon in Manchester, N.H., losing by a score of 3-2.

The Bulldogs fell behind early, trailing 3-1 after the 35th minute and could not recover.

Trailing 1-0 early, Mike Gargiulo (North Branford, Conn.) evened the score in the 12th minute, scoring his fourth of the season, unassisted.

After surrendering two more Hawks' goals in the first half, freshman Matthew Brown (South Easton, Mass.) headed in a pass from Matt Amsden (North Providence, R.I.) for his second tally of the season to bring Bryant to within one.

The Bulldogs could not even the score however, despite firing 11 second-half shots on goal to Saint Anselm's three.

Bryant (5-3-2, 3-3-2 NE-10) will return home Saturday and host Le Moyne at 1 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.
