Men's Soccer Wins Senior Night Match 3-1

Men's Soccer Wins Regular Season Finale 3-1

Smithfield, R.I. - The Bryant Men's Soccer team concluded its season in style Saturday night, knocking American International out of the NE-10 Tournament with a 3-1 win at the Bryant Turf Complex.

Before the game, the Bulldogs honored their seven seniors as part of senior night.

Senior Justin Stepnowski (Glastonbury, Conn.) concluded his career in style, scoring his first of the season in the fourth minute.

The Yellow Jackets came right back as Chris Charles scored on a penalty shot beating senior goaltender Alex Bissias (Harpswell, ME.).

Taylor Sabo (Scarborough, VA.) then added his first of the year, finding the loose ball in front off a corner kick and burying it past AIC netminder Michael Murphy.

The Bulldogs' leading scorer, senior Bryan Gravel (Londonderry, N.H.) put the match away in the 81st minute, taking a Sabo pass and scoring his sixth of the season. Gravel finished the year with six goals and four assists (16 points).

Bissias stopped five shots for the win.

The Bulldogs 8-5-3 (5-5-3 NE-10) finish the 2006 season in ninth place, one point out of the NE-10 Tournament.
