MEN'S SOCCER HOSTS SACRED HEART AT 3PM FOR SENIOR DAY ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - On Friday, the Bryant University men's soccer team will recognize its five seniors before playing Northeast Conference foe Sacred Heart at 3 p.m. on Sutton Field.

The Bulldogs (3-11-0, 1-5-0) will honor seniors Andre Barros (Ashland, Mass.), Neil Black (Roslyn Heights, N.Y.), Captain Pat Bedard (East Longmeadow, Mass.), Captain Taylor Sabo (Scarborough, Maine) and John Soborski (Stratham, N.H.). The five of them have been a key part of 23 victories over their four years and the transition into the Division 1 level.

Andre Barros (F): Comes into today's game having played in 23 career games at Bryant since transferring from Assumption College as a junior. He has scored 1 goal this season in a 3-0 win against army.

Neil Black (F): Enters today's contest having played in 22 career games making 11 starts. A former goalkeeper for the Bulldogs, Neil recorded the program's first Division 1 win in a 2-0 victory over Richmond. He scored the game winning goal at Holy Cross this season.

Pat Bedard (D): Has played in 52 career games for the Bulldogs making 26 starts. A standout defenseman and captain, he registered one goal at Long Island University this season.

Taylor Sabo (D): The captain enters today's game having played in 45 career games making 22 starts. Registered two goals this season, most recently the lone Bulldog goal against Mount St. Mary's last weekend. Scored his first collegiate goal in a 3-1 win against AIC as a freshman.

John Soborski (D): Enters today's game having played in 40 career games, making 9 starts. A defenseman for the Bulldog, he's registered 10 shots from the back line.

The last time out for the Bulldogs resulted in a 2-1 loss against Mount St. Mary's in harsh conditions. Bryant's lone goal came off a Sean Kaukas (Glastonbury, Conn.) corner kick to the foot of Sabo who was able to beat the keeper to the left in the 52nd minute.

The Pioneers have an overall record of 6-5-2 and currently sit in fourth place in the NEC with a 3-2-1 conference mark.
