MEN'S SOCCER DOWNED BY ACC AFFILIATE BOSTON COLLEGE, 2-0

NEWTON, Mass.- ACC powerhouse Boston College proved to be too much for the Bryant University men's soccer team as they cruised to a 2-0 victory this afternoon.

The Eagles (1-1) tallied their first goal off a 16-yard chip shot by Kyle Bekker over sliding freshman keeper Matt Miscione (Ashburn, Va.) in the 38th minute. Boston College's Kevin Mejia was able to tack on the second goal for the Eagles in the 85th minute.

Bryant (0-2) enjoyed its best scoring opportunity in the 55th minute on an indirect kick that BC keeper Justin Luthy saved off a Bulldog header.

The Bulldogs were outshot 18-3 in the contest. One highlight for the team was once again the play of Miscione, who recorded eight saves off 10 shots on goal.

Bryant returns home to face Stony Brook in the first game of a Bryant University soccer doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m. The women will follow after with a game against Hartford at 3:30 p.m. Both games will be held at Bulldog Stadium.
