Valckenaere, Toti earn CoSIDA Academic All-District honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Bryant University men's soccer senior Zachary Valckenaere (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) and junior Matteo Toti (Rome, Italy) have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.

Valckenaere and Toti earned spots on the 14-member list for District 1, consisting of the six New England states and New York. Bryant collected two of the three honors given to NEC members.

Valckenaere is a senior finance major with a 3.81 GPA and has tallied assists in NEC victories over Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut while playing in all 14 games. Toti holds a 3.98 GPA as a junior finance major and has started 10 games this year as the Bulldogs have recorded their highest win total since 2014.

Both student-athletes are now on the ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America team that will be voted on later this month. To be eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-District, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above with a GPA of at least 3.30.

Bryant returns to action Sunday at 1 p.m. when the Bulldogs visit Merrimack in their final regular season tune-up for the NEC semifinals.
