Talabi earns AE Defensive Player of the Week honors

BOSTON - Senior defender Abdel Talabi of the Bryant University men's soccer team was announced as the America East Defensive Player of the Week by the organization on Monday morning.

Talabi scored the game winning goal in the 55th minute for the Bulldogs in their 1-0 win against Central Connecticut State on Thursday night. He also helped to anchor the defense to two shutout wins to start the season for the first time in Bryant's Division I program history.

This is the first Player of the Week accolade of Talabi's career.

The Black and Gold are back in action on Thursday (Aug. 31st) at Merrimack.
