Valor receives AE Offensive Player of the Week accolade

BOSTON - Senior midfielder Vicente Valor Martinez of the Bryant University men's soccer team was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week by the organization on Monday morning.

Valor had a hand in all three of the Bulldog's first half goals in the squad's 4-0 win over Holy Cross. He tallied one goal and two assists in that half to bring for a total of four points. Valor has become a mainstay in the Black and Gold midfield and currently leads the team in assists with three.

This is the first Player of the Week honor of Valor's bulldog career. The honor makes it the second week that Bryant has had a player of the week. Abdel Talabi won the award for Week 1 of the season in the defensive category after scoring in the Black and Gold's home opener.

Valor and the Bulldogs will be back in action on Tuesday (Sept. 12th) for a 7:00pm home contest against Stonehill.
