Five named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY - The Bryant University men's soccer team had five players named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Division I Men's All-Northeast Region Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Marc Pitarch Bayot was named to the first team, Vicente Valor Martinez, Inigo Villaldea, and Kerman Sukia were named to the second team, and Antreas Hadjigavriel was named to the third team.

This is the first time that players from the Black and Gold have been named to the All-Region Team.

This is Marc Pitarch's second first team honor of the season after also being named to the America East All-Conference first team. The junior tallied a conference leading 11 goals and added seven assists for a program record 28 points during the 2023 season.

Like Pitarch, Vicente Valor was named to the America East All-Conference Team but he was a part of the second team, making this All-Region Team selection his second major honor of the campaign. After transferring to Bryant from Franklin Pierce in the winter, the midfielder made his impact on the field by tallying five goals and seven assists for 17 points. Valor's assist count led the team and put him third in the America East in the category.

Inigo Villaldea was a key part of the Bulldog attack during the 2023 campaign and had a career season statistically. The midfielder racked up seven goals and five assists for 19 points. Vilaladea was second on the squad in goals and points. He also earned America East All-Championship Team accolades after the Black and Gold won the conference championship.

Kerman Sukia was an integral part of a Bryant defense that only allowed six goals, posted 14 shutouts and led the nation in goals against average and shutout percentage. The junior appeared in all 20 games for the Bulldogs and made 18 starts. Sukia was also named to the America East All-Championship Team.

Antreas Hadjigavriel's third team nod is one of many accolades the goalkeeper has received this season. Hadjigavriel led the nation in shutout percentage, save percentage, and goals against percentage this season as he posted a 0.297 GAA, a .875 save percentage, and 14 shutouts while in net for the Black and Gold. These marks earned the senior America East All-Conference second team, America East All-Championship team, and America East Most Outstanding Player honors.
