As a freshman: Recorded season best times in the 100-yard freestyle (49.69), 200-yard freestyle (1:49.59), and in the 100-yard breastroke (1:02.33) at the Dartmouth Invitational (10/29/10)... Registered a career-best time of 22.88 in the 50-yard freestyle against Stony Brook (1/22/11)... Generated personal-best times in the 50-yard breastroke (29.99) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.03) in a tri-meet with Boston University and Maine... Posted a season-best time in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.04) against Holyc Cross (2/5/11)... Produced a personal best-time in the 200-yard breastroke (2:24.57) in a meet against Maine (10/29/10).

Before Bryant: A 2010 graduate from Sandwich High School, Dropo lettered in swimming all four years... Bay Colony League and All Cape League all-star... High Point Award winner... Set team records in 50, 100 and 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 individual medley events... Helped team se records in 200 and 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay events... Honor roll student.

Personal: Son of Susan and the late Jeff Dropo, Alex Dropo was born on October 22, 1991... Has two sisters, Jennifer and Elizabeth... Relative Walter Dropo played in the MLB from 1950 to 1963.
