Bulldogs fall to Brown on Senior Night

BULLDOGS HONOR SENIORS ON THURSDAY NIGHT AGAINST BROWN

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Led by graduate student Alex Kosenski (Lavallette, N.J.), the Bryant University men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the home portion of its schedule with a loss to intrastate rival Brown on Thursday at the Chace Athletic Center.

The Bulldogs (4-3) dropped their second-straight meet as the Bears improved to 5-3 on the season. Prior to the meet, Bryant honored its three seniors, Kosenski, Steve Sinclair (Middleton, Mass.) and Nico Seiler (Portland, Maine).

Swimming in his final home meet of his illustrious career, Kosenski finished second in the 100 free (47.81) and the 50 free (22.23). Junior Nicholas Karadimas (New Milford, Conn.) finished second in the 200 free (1:45.41) and third in the 100 free (49.66). The Bulldogs also received second-place finishes from Joshua Bjornberg (Wallingford, Conn.) in the 100 breast (1:00.70), Cameron Hessler (Southbury, Conn.) in the 100 back (58.23), John Lawson (Bernardsville, N.J.) in the 100 fly (55.79) and Brendan Miller-Radest (Chatham, N.J.) in the 500 free (4:58.01).

The Bulldogs return to the pool next weekend when they travel north to Worcester, Mass., to face Holy Cross on Feb. 2.
