MSWM drops opener to BC on Friday night

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Boston College men's swimming team defeated the Bryant University men's swimming and diving team, 165-92, on Friday night at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.

The Eagles (1-0) have now defeated the Bulldogs (0-1) in each of the last six seasons.

Bryant received its only first-place finish of the evening from senior Cameron Hessler (Southbury, Conn.) in the 100 back. Hessler won the event with a time of 54.99. Classmate Nicholas Karadimas (New Milford, Conn.) added a pair of second-place finishes on the evening, finishing second in the 50 (21.76) and the 100 (48.23) free. Sophomore Andrew Neggia (Ramsey, N.J.) finished third in both the 1000 free (10:22.17) and the 200 fly (2:06.55).

The Bulldogs are back in action on October 25 when they host Providence at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.
