23 Bulldogs earn MAAC Academic Honor Roll accolade

EDISON, N.J. – 23 Bryant University student-athletes were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Tuesday.

13 of Bryant's men's swimmers were nominated, while 10 field hockey athletes are listed. The Bulldog swimmers include: freshmen Matthew Mays (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) and Matthew Mastroianni (Glastonbury, Conn.), sophomores Robert Davis (Glastonbury, Conn.), Zach Digiaro (Middletown, N.J.) and Juan Gonzalez (Al Safa, Dubai), juniors Oliver French (Nashua, N.H.), Charlie Broe (New Windsor, N.Y.), Matt Zichelli (Glen Ridge, N.J.), Tavish Boyle (Springfield, N.J.), Kevin Sullivan (East Lyme, Conn.) and Shane Vyskocil (Pasippany, N.J.) and seniors Benon Boyadjian (Middlebury, Conn.) and Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam).

Bryant field hockey players who earned accolades are freshmen Madison Demand (Waretown, N.J.), Lyndsay Swantson (Burlington, Ontario) and Kathryn Doorley (East Greenwich, R.I.), sophomore Freya Ward (Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England), juniors Emily Perryman (Lebanon, N.H.), Victoria Newbill (Wilton, Maine) and Haley Wood (Brownsville, Vt.) and seniors Bethany Winkin (Winslow, Maine), Grace Farrell (Milford, Pa.) and Keighan Richardson (North Attleboro, Mass.).

The number is fourth-highest amongst associate members of the conference, which include fellow Northeast Conference institutions LIU Brooklyn, Robert Morris, St. Francis Brooklyn and Wagner. In total, 2,360 MAAC athletes were named to the Honor Roll, which requires student-athletes to obtain a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher.
