Arnold, Clark, and Vogel medal at Day 1 of NECs

New Britain, Conn. - The Bryant University swimming and diving team competed on day one of the 2021 Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships in Connecticut this afternoon.

The men are currently in first place with a score of 93, and the women are in second place with a score of 36.

Coach Law's Comments

" Amazing performance from every single one of our divers! They have worked hard all year and there's not a happier coach than I to see all of that hard work come together in this competition! We have huge momentum going into tomorrow and we will be taking advantage of it!"

Notes and Notables

The Black and Gold posted a 1-3 finish in the one-meter dive. Drew Arnold recorded a score of 240.75, Evan Clark earned a point total of 229.15, and Zach Vogel registered a score of 229.05. Benjamin Prouty (219.45) and John Famiglietti (189.05) placed fourth and fifth. Freshman Charles Keen posted a score of 104.25.

Sophomore Kyri Chambo continued her momentum from last year's NEC Championships and placed first in the three-meter dive with a score of 215.80. Classmate Kate Kirves finished in third-place by posting a score of 199.70.

The Bulldogs will compete on day two of the NEC Diving Championships starting tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.
