Lajoie Named America East Men's Swimmer of the Week

BOSTON, Mass.- Sophomore Griffin Lajoie has been named America East Male Swimmer of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday. It is Lajoie and the Bulldogs' first weekly honor since joining the America East.

Lajoie won four total events in Bryant's January 7 meet vs. UMass, including a trio of individual triumphs. He kicked off the day helping the 200 medley relay team to victory with a total time of 1:35.76 and followed with wins in the 100 back (51.34), 200 back (1:54.00), and 100 fly (52.95). 

Lajoie currently holds a pair of top-ten times in the America East this season, including the fourth-best in the 200 back. He and the rest of the Bulldogs will be back in the pool this weekend when they travel to Marist on Saturday.
