Beasley and Buonocore to compete at NCAA Zones

PRINCETON, NJ - Freshman Megan Beasley and sophomore Christopher Buonocore of the Bryant University swimming & diving team are set to compete in NCAA Zones on March 11th and 12th.

Beasley qualified for zones against Boston University with her scores of 284.10 in the 1 meter and 300.53 in the 3 meter. Beasley took gold in the 3 meter dive at the America East Championships to earn the first medal of her career. The Harrogate, England native also earned America East Diver of the Week honors during the regular season.

Buonocore also made the cut for zones against BU by scoring a 312.83 in the 1 meter and 339.28 in the 3 meter. Buonocore took Diver of the Meet honors at conference championships after earning gold in both the 1 and 3 meter events. He was also a five time America East Diver of the Week honoree with his success in the regular season.

To qualify for NCAA Zones, divers must meet a score of 265 in the 1 meter and 280 in the 3 meter on the women's side and 300 in the 1 meter and 320 in the 3 meter on the men's side. Beasley and Buonocore will be competing in Zone A held on the campus of Princeton University in New Jersey. Beasley will compete in the 1m on Monday and 3m on Tuesday. Buonocore will compete in the 3m on Monday and 1m on Tuesday.
