SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men’s tennis team snapped a three-match losing skid with a strong showing on Senior Day Saturday as the Bulldogs picked up a 7-0 win over visiting Holy Cross on a blustery day at the Bryant Tennis Complex.

After sweeping doubles to open the match, the Bulldogs swept singles play with straight set victories.  Junior Cristian Balestrieri was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Matt Wierzel at No. 1 singles while Juan Paredes downed John Burke, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Nicholai Hill bounced back from winning a tight 7-5 opening set over Dan Phelan to win the second over the Crusader 6-4.  Tommy Nowak followed with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Chris Das while Andres Orobitg picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 while sophomore Dan Cournoyer earned a nice win at No. 6 singles, defeating HC’s Ajeya Shekar 6-1, 6-0.
