BRYANT MEN’S TENNIS DROPS 6-1 DECISION TO COLGATE

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Despite starting off strong with a win at doubles, the Bryant University men's tennis team fell to Colgate, 6-1, Saturday night in dual meet action at the Rally Point Racquet Club in Greenville, R.I.

Senior Hart Callahan (Haverford, Pa.) and freshman Nolan Gelman (Dix Hills, N.Y.) started off the doubles bracket with a win against Colgate's Ruslen Goushetnker and Phil Bernesek, 9-8.  Rookie duo, Dana Parzieli (Pinehurst, N.C.) and Vidith Huot (Providence, R.I.) then finished the task in the last match with an 8-6 victory over Luke Censkarg and Connor Feuillie.

Turning to the singles matches, Parzieli fell to Bobby Berkewitz in a tough match, 6-3, 6-7, 6-7 at the second spot, while Huot dropped a tightly contested match to John Beam 3-6, 7-5, (10-7).

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Boston College at 5:00 p.m.
