SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team opened Wednesday's match with Minnesota State by claiming the doubles point and then finished strong with a clean sweep at singles as the Bulldogs picked up a big 7-0 victory in Puerto Rico.

After the Bulldogs picked up the doubles point for the early advantage, Cristian Balestrieri (Mar Del Plata, Argentina) looked strong with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Mitch Barr at No. 1 singles. At the second spot, freshman Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) opened up against Marco Vasquez with a 6-1 win in the first set before dropping the second, 3-6, but the rookie battled hard for a 10-2 finish for the No. singles victory.
