Bulldogs rout Hawks, 7-0

MEN'S TENNIS CONTINUES IMPRESSIVE SEASON, DEFEATING HARTFORD, 7-0, SUNDAY

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team defeated the University of Hartford, 7-0, Sunday afternoon in West Hartford, Conn.

The Bulldogs continue their impressive fall campaign, winning the only duel match of the season in impressive fashion.

Freshman Arklon Huertas Del Pino (Lima, Peru) competed at the number one singles position, defeating Jordan Badenko, 6-3, 6-4. The rookie has posted outstanding numbers in his first collegiate action, going undefeated in singles play.

Zachary Morris (Garden City, N.Y.) and Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) both topped their opponents, 6-1, 6-0, in the number two and three singles competition, as well.

In doubles action, Del Pino and Morris defeated the duo of Badenko and Nicholas Sharwarko, 8-5, while the pairing of Max Vogt (Fair Oaks, Calif.) and Parziale continue to dominate doubles play, improving to 8-0 on the season as team with an 8-3 victory.

This marks the only duel match for the Bulldogs this fall, as their matches with Nichols and Hofstra were canceled due to inclement weather.

Bryant's final action of the season, the ITA Northeast Regionals, will kick off Thursday, Oct. 18 in New Haven, Conn., and continue through Sunday, Oct. 21.

After Sunday, the Bulldogs will break for the winter before commencing their championship season in January.
