Bulldogs fall to Georgetown in nail-biter
MEN'S TENNIS DROPS TOUGH DECISION AT GEORGETOWN IN SPRING BREAK FINALE FRIDAY
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team fell to Georgetown, 4-3, Friday evening in the final match of its Spring Break trip.
Sophomore Zachary Morris (Garden City, N.Y.) and junior Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) combined to go 3-0 on the day as the duo continued to dominate as a paring in doubles and as individuals in singles play. The duo defeated Caris/Distaso, 8-4, in doubles while Morris took care of Caris, 6-2, 6-4 in singles and Parziale topped Distaso, 7-5, 6-4. Sophomore Joshua Rubinstein (Trumbull, Conn.) earned the other Bryant point, defeating Brosens, 7-6(3), 7-6(2), in the number six singles positions.
With the match tied, 3-3, senior Vidith Huot (Providence, R.I.) held an early advantage on Korber in the fourth singles spot, however the Hoyas came from behind to capture the victory, 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-3.
