Parziale named ITA's Most Improved Senior

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Coming off the best season in Bryant men's tennis history, senior captain Dana Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C.) was named the ITA Northeast Regional Most Improved Senior of the Year, announced the ITA earlier this week.

Parziale not only led the Bulldogs to their first-ever Northeast Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, he also put together one of the finest individual seasons in Bryant tennis history. A three-time All-Northeast Conference selection, Parziale finished the 2013-14 season with a 25-13 overall singles mark at the no. 1 spot after playing primarily in the no.3 spot as a junior a season ago.

Most recently, the North Carolina native went toe-to-toe with the no. 11 nationally ranked Peter Kobelt on Friday vs. Ohio State. After narrowly dropping the first set, 6-4, Parziale fought back to knot the second set, 3-3, before the Buckeyes secured the match victory.

A five-time NEC Player of the Month/Week and two-time ECAC Player of the Week, Parziale was awarded Bryant's first-ever Strength and Conditioning Award on April 29 at the Bryant Athletic Banquet. The senior's dedication to hard work, his teammates, and the game itself are what separate him from the rest of the pack and make him a more than deserving candidate for the ITA Northeast Region Most Improved Senior of the Year.
