Men's tennis featured in top Mid-Major Recruiting Class list

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After their best season since at the Division I level, the Bryant University men's tennis team was mentioned among the top 2014 Mid Major Men's Tennis Recruiting Classes by the Tennis Recruiting Network, announced the site Monday.

The Bulldogs, who won their first Northeast Conference Championship in April, are listed under the "Also Receiving Consideration" category on the list, boasting one of the program's most highly anticipated classes in recent history.

"This is a true honor for our program," said head coach Ron Gendron. "We are very excited for this incoming class and looking forward to see what they add to our lineup."

Highlighted by local-product Matt Kuhar of Smithfield, the Black and Gold will add Joshua Kliger, Luke Lorenz, and Jorge Ortiz-Garcia to an already potent roster this fall.

Joining Bryant on the list of the Top Mid-Major Recruiting Classes is fellow NEC member Wagner, who secured the seventh overall seed in the 2014 NEC Championships.

"This is an outstanding feat for NEC Tennis", added Gendron. "To have two teams on this list really shows the positive direction in which NEC Men's Tennis is heading."
