Bulldogs face Engineers, Friday at 1 p.m. and Bears, Monday at 11 a.m.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Coming off a 4-3 win over Presbyterian, the Bryant University men's tennis team look to keep the ball rolling, traveling to Cambridge to face off against MIT on Friday at 4 p.m., before taking on in-state competitor Brown University on Monday at 11 a.m.

The Engineers begin their season by hosting the Bulldogs (3-5) after a successful spring 2015, winning the NEWMAC Championship, 5-4, over Babson. The Division III program went on to defeat Hunter College in the first round of NCAAs, 5-0, before falling to Bowdoin College, 5-1, in the second. The matchup will mark the first time the Bulldogs and Engineers have met in spring season play.

The Bulldogs finish the weekend in the capital, taking on the Bears (4-3), who finished 15-8 last season and 1-6 in the Ivy League. Brown has found impressive wins this season over Binghamton, 6-1, and Quinnipiac, 4-3. In their second contest of the spring, the Bears lost to Buffalo, 4-3, who also defeated the Bulldogs, 5-2, on Jan. 23.

The Bulldogs begin play against the Engineers in Cambridge at 4 p.m. and travel down the road to Providence on Monday for an 11 a.m. start against the Bears.
