Bryant men's tennis beats Army, 4-3

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Army on Sunday afternoon in West Point, N.Y.

Bryant was able to clinch the doubles point at No. 3 and senior Luke Lorenz (Colorado Springs, Colo.) clinched the match at No. 2 singles.

HOW IT HAPPENED (DOUBLES)

Bryant and Army split the first two matches in doubles, leaving it up to the No. 3 spot to decide the point. Lorenz and freshman Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) were able to earn the point with a 6-3 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED (SINGLES)

Junior Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) and redshirt junior Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) quickly made it 3-0 with wins at No. 5 and No. 1, while Lorenz closed it out with a victory at No. 2.
