UNC Greensboro tops Bryant, 4-3
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team fell to UNC Greensboro, 4-3, on Saturday morning at the Battle of the Beach hosted by UNC Wilmington.

How it Happened (Doubles)
- Bryant continued its strong doubles playing, earning the point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Jorge Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) and Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) won 6-4 at No. 2, while Luke Lorenz (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) won 6-4 at No. 3.
How it Happened (Singles)
- The Bulldogs and Spartans traded victories in singles play, leaving Bryant with a 3-2 advantage. Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) was victorious at 3, 7-6 (1-0), 6-2) and Ortiz-Garcia won at 4, 3-6, 6-0, 6-2.
- UNCG, however, rallied back to win at 2 and 1 to clinch the match. Ollie Palmer lost the first set to Lorenz but came back to win the final two, 6-3, 6-4. Connor Thompson then handed Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) just his third loss of the year in dual matches with a 7-5, 7-6 (4-0) victory.
