Kuhar cruises in first round of Oracle ITA Masters

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's tennis redshirt senior Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) opened his final season with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 victory on day one of the Oracle ITA Masters in Malibu, California.

Competing at the ITA Oracle Masters for the second-straight year, Kuhar, seeded 20th, defeated 13th-seeded August Holmgren from the University of San Diego.

Kuhar advances to the round of 16 and will face fourth-seeded Zeke Clark from the University of Illinois on Friday.
