Bulldogs beat Bentley, Kuhar falls at ITAs

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over Bentley on Sunday afternoon at the Bryant Tennis Courts.

Also in action, redshirt senior Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) fell in the round of 32 at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships.

How it Happened (ITA)

  • Kuhar rolled his ankle in the second set and was unable to overcome it against Princeton's Damian Rodriguez.

How it Happened (Bentley)

  • The Black and Gold swept the doubles point and then won five of the six singles matches against Bentley.
  • Andrew Corrado (East Islip, N.Y.) and Philip Belmatch (Staten Island, N.Y.) clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory.
  • In singles, the Bulldogs posted wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6.
