Three-set victories highlight day two of Brown Invite

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team posted five more victories on day two of the Brown Invitational Saturday in Providence.

Coach Gendron's Comments

"Today was another solid effort. Taking 4-of-6 singles spots against a team like Boston College is a good step for our early season. A little disappointed dropping 3-of-4 doubles sets but overall a great day for our team!"

How it Happened

  • The Eagles were able to win three of the four doubles matches, with sophomore Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) and junior Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) claiming Bryant's only victory.
  • In singles, Bryant won each of the final four singles matches. The performance was highlighted by three-set victories from senior Michael Plutt (Weston, Fla.), junior Guido Argentini (Boca Raton, Fla.) and sophomore Trent Massam (Wellington, New Zealand).
