Bulldogs close regular season with 7-0 win

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 7-0 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon at the Bryant Tennis Courts.

How it Happened

  • The Bulldogs were able to grab the doubles point with victories at 1 and 3. Brothers Mike Plutt (Weston, Fla.) and Scott Plutt (Weston, Fla.) teamed up at No. 1 to win 6-2.
  • Philip Belmatch (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Andrew Corrado (East Islip, N.Y.) were able to clinch the point at 3.
  • In singles, the Bulldogs won five of the six matches in straight sets. Corrado was the lone Bulldog to need a third set as he won an abbreviated set 1-0 (8).
  • Anshumat Srivastava (Patna, India) picked up a win at 5, 6-2, 6-3.
