SMITHFIELD, RI - Amanda Wilbur's (Lakeville, Mass.) 200th hit capped a tremendous afternoon for the Bulldogs as they got back on the winning track with a pair of wins over archrival Bentley. The Bulldogs took the first game 13-0 in five innings, powered by a 10-run fourth inning that put the Bulldogs in command. Game two was a pitching duel between Nikki Ingalls (Westford, Mass.) and Ashley Messina. The difference were RBI singles by Lindsay Conner (West Haven, CT) and Briana Durborow (Ringoes, NJ).

The Bulldogs snapped out of a three-game losing streak in a big way with the victory in game 1. Bryant jumped out early on an Ashley Coon (Fairless Hills, PA) sacrifice fly in the first inning and an RBI single by Wilbur and fielder's choice by Coon, but the Bulldogs broke the game open in the fourth.

The highlight of the inning was Durborow, who hit two triples to almost the identical spot in right center field, each driving in a run. The Bulldogs pounded out 7 hits in the error and were aided by 2 Falcon errors, and a pair of wild pitches.

Starter Janine Enos (Wareham, Mass) went 5 innings, allowing only 2 hits and no runs. She earned her 10th win of the season.

The second game was much closer. Messina and Ingalls battled it out for seven innings. The game was scored until the fourth, when a lead off double by Lauren McNiff (Westford, Mass.) set the table for Durborow, who drove her in with an RBI single.

In the fifth inning, Wilbur made history. Leading off the inning, she roped a shot by third base for her 200th career hit. She now stands as the only Bulldog to ever reach the 200 hit plateau and is the program's all-time leader in hits. Wilbur received a standing ovation from the crowd and her teammates before receiving the game ball.

Ingalls was impressive in the circle, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings to collect her ninth win of the season.

Durborow and Wilbur each had 3 RBI on the afternoon. Durborow was five of six on the day with a pair of runs scored.

The Bulldogs' next action will be in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament this Friday. Please stay tuned to BryantBulldogs.com for updates on their postseason schedule.
