SMITHFIELD, RI - After playing five games at the 24th annual Louisiana Classic three weeks ago, the Bryant University softball team will travel to Kissimmee, Fla. for the annual Rebel Spring Games. The Bulldogs will play 10 games in five days at the event, with their first pitch scheduled for Sunday, March 7 at 1 p.m. against Detroit Mercy.

The squad picked up wins against IPFW, Bucknell as well as Youngstown St in extra innings. Junior tri-captain Sami Houseal (Mount Joy, Pa.) pitched all eight innings in that contest, striking out eight and picking up the win. Houseal went 3-3 on the trip with a 2.95 earned run average. Senior Ali Chouinard (Swansea, Mass.) picked up the game-winning RBI in the top of the eighth against the Penguins. Sophomore Lauren McCart (Voorhees, N.J.) led the team with a .350 batting average over the course of the Rebel Games.
