As a Junior: Dobmeier stepped up for the Bulldogs in 2008, starting 45 games at first base while appearing in all 46. A strong defensive player, Dobmeier finished the season with a .986 fielding percentage, committing only five errors and leading the team with 348 putouts (5th most in Northeast-10). Anne also showed a propensity for using the bat, ranking second on the team with a .322 batting average, racking up 39 hits in 121 at-bats and driving in 18. A patient hitter, Dobmeier was second in the conference in walks with 24, second only to teammate Jessica Valentini who had 25.
As a Sophomore: Dobmeier served as the team's third pitcher, tallying a 4-2 record in 10 appearances including two complete games. She had a 5.61 ERA in 9 starts and a relief appearance. Witht he bat, Dobmeier compiled a .143 batting average with a double in 28 at-bats.
Before Bryant: Dobmeier is a transfer from St.
Andrew's Presbyterian College in North Carolina. In her 2006 season
she led her staff with 112.1 innings pitched, and racked up a .361
batting average and 18 RBI in the batter's box.She was named First
team all conference in the CVAC. In high school, she was a
three-sport star who competed in softball, volleyball and indoor
and outdoor track. She was First team all-league her junior and
senior years.
Personal: Anne Dobmeier was born on February 14, 1987. She is the daughter of Bob and Peggy Dobmeier. Anne is a Management major.
