As a Junior: One of the best contact hitters on the team, Mirando finished the year with a team-leading 10 sacrifice hits while also finishing with a team-low 12 strikeouts in 127 at-bats for Bryant in 2008. Her 10 sac bunts tied her for fifth in the conference. Steph finished the year with a .236 batting average with 24 RBIs, good for third on the team.
As a Sophomore:Mirando hit .300 with 9 RBI in 35 games (21 starts) primarily in the outfield
and designate player positions. Was 2 for 4 as a pinch hitter in the NCAA tournament.
As a Freshman: Mirando emerged as one of Coach Wallace's best reserve players, hitting .333 in 19 games played, and proved to be an excellent situational hitter.
Before Bryant: Stephanie is a 2005 graduate of North Haven High School, where she played four years of softball and was team two-time team MVP and captain. Shew named to the Southern Connecticut Conference team and an All-Oronoque first-team selection. She also played basketball, field hockey and indoor track while at North Haven.
Personal: Stephanie Marie Mirando was born May 21, 1987. She is the daughter of Rosemary and Raymond Mirando. Stephanie is a Marketing major.
