Kenney strikes out Bryant DI record 16 in win vs. Manhattan

 RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Kylie Kenney records a DI program record of 16 strikeouts in the Bryant University softball teams' 5-1 victory against Manhattan in game one of the doubleheader.

Courtney Paolantonio went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a home run, and Megan Marcel tallied three hits and an RBI in the victory.

How it Happened (GM1)

  • The Jaspers hit a solo HR in the bottom of the first inning (1-0).
  • During the top of the third inning, Aleix Hudson and Marcel hit a single and double back-to-back, which set up Courtney Paolantonio, who launched a three-run home run to give the Bulldog a two-run lead (3-1).
  • Jenna Gardner began the top of the fifth with a leadoff single. Marcel then Brough Gardner home on an RBI double (4-1). Abby Trimble then tallied the Black and Gold's fifth run on a single up the middle (5-1).
