Marcel homers in loss to URI

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Megan Marcel of the Bryant University softball team launched her sixth career home run in the home loss to the University of Rhode Island.

How it Happened 

• URI tallied five runs on a bases-loaded walk and a three RBi double (5-0) in the top of the second inning.
• During the top of the third inning, the Rams scored a run on a sacrifice fly (6-0).
• In the top of the fourth inning, URI hit a solo home run to center field (7-0).
• Jenna Gardner drew a walk with one out, followed by a single for Aleix Hudson, and then Marcel launched her second home run of the season to deep left-center (7-3).
